Consulting with children, staff plan a varied range of learning experiences to meet each child’s emotional, social and intellectual development. Coherent, flexible, & supported programmes are promoted through the enjoyment of play. This is both planned and responsive in its nature, and aligned with reference to the national frameworks and Scottish Government guidelines of ‘Curriculum for Excellence’, ‘Pre-Birth to Three’ and ‘Building the Ambition- Being Me’.

 

Our curriculum is focused on developing every child’s skills, personality and interests. All children experience responsive relationships to support their care and early learning within a supportive, nurturing and stimulating environment. Our little learners benefit from the blend of adult supported and child-initiated experiences in both real life and imaginary situations across the curriculum. This supports the development of early language, mathematics, and health & well-being.

 

Our interdisciplinary topics include expressive arts, science, technology and the world around us.

We also offer weekly music classes, tennis lessons, rugby and PE input from specialist teachers.
